A POPULAR Northwich pub has won not one, two, three but four awards at a recent conference.

The Royal Vale Abbey Arms, based on Chester Road, is celebrating awards for the community, customer service, their food and their assistant manager won the ‘Rising Star’ award at a JW Lees company conference.

“I was very, very shocked to get three awards for the pub and one for Robert to be fair – it was like ‘wow’,” owner of the pub, Steve Harvey, said.

“To come away with the awards from a conference – it was just amazing.”

If he had to pinpoint an award that means most, Steve would pick out the community recognition for their work in serving residents.

“We are more than grateful to get them all but it’s fantastic to be recognised by the community.

“We’ve got a fantastic team and we care about customers. The chefs are passionate about food and the team are passionate about customers.

With the pub now really busy again, Steve wants the team to continue in the same vein of form.

He continued: “It’s always nice to be recognised for something so we will just carry on. You never know what’s around the corner?
