A COMIC Con traders market will take place instead of the full event this year.
Due to ‘uncertainty in regards to coronavirus’, the event has had to be cancelled.
However, in its place, the full complement of traders will be setting up shop in Northwich Memorial Court on Saturday, October 2.
The free to enter event will have stalls selling toys, collectables, funko pops, artwork, handmade goods, Pokemon, geeky goodies and more.
Organiser Steven Howard wrote: “Unfortunately we have some bad news - after a discussion with the venue/health & safety yesterday they have decided it is a risk to allow the ticketed door Comic Con event to go ahead, one they don't want to take.
“Of course this is very disappointing for us however all is not lost.
“A Comic Con market is regarded safer because with a monitored open door policy as it allows for maximum indoor ventilation, less grouping in the hall itself thus reducing the risk levels and means we can still have an event.”
Comic Con’s Facebook post also teased that there could be character appearances throughout the day.
The stall will take place between 11am-4pm.
