MORE than 600 new Covid-19 cases were reported across Mid Cheshire during the latest 24-hour period.
A total of 614 people have tested positive, according to the latest figures from Public Health England between 4pm on September 2 and 4pm on September 3.
This is made up of 291 new cases in Cheshire West and Chester and 323 cases in Cheshire East.
In the previous 24 hour period, 451 cases were recorded, and 326 the day before.
The total number of cases in both boroughs now stands at 34,840 in Cheshire West and 34,813 in Cheshire East.
The latest update means there have now been 1,111 cases in the last seven days in Cheshire West, giving the borough a seven-day case rate of 323.1 per 100,000 people.
There have been 1,163 cases in Cheshire East over the last week, meaning the borough’s seven-day case rate is now 300.8 per 100,000.
Nationally there were 42,076 new Covid-19 cases across the UK in the latest 24-hour period.
