MORE than 450 new Covid-19 cases were reported across Mid Cheshire during the latest 24-hour period.
A total of 451 people have tested positive, according to the latest figures from Public Health England between 4pm on September 1 and 4pm on September 2.
This is made up of 232 new cases in Cheshire West and Chester and 219 cases in Cheshire East.
The data is up from 326 total cases recorded across the two areas in the previous 24 hour period.
The total number of cases in both boroughs now stands at 34,549 in Cheshire West and 34,490 in Cheshire East.
The latest update means there have now been 1,150 cases in the last seven days in Cheshire West, giving the borough a seven-day case rate of 334.5 per 100,000 people.
There have been 1,164 cases in Cheshire East over the last week, meaning the borough’s seven-day case rate is now 301 per 100,000.
Nationally there were 38,154 new Covid-19 cases across the UK in the latest 24-hour period.
