CARE homes in Lostock Gralam joined together to give residents their own taste of a music festival.
Staff at Acorn Hollow and Avandale Lodge care homes, both located on Manchester Road, were inspired by the recent music festivals taking place across the country and wanted to bring the fun to those in their care.
Jo Hughes and Rachel Sidebotham, wellbeing coordinators, organised a garden music festival/ beach party.
The care home residents enjoyed a day outside listening to music and dancing, with bunting and other decorations adding to the feel-good atmosphere.
Jo and Rachel said: "Local artists were used to provide the live music and there were lots of fun and games also.
"All the residents had a great time singing and dancing along."
Acorn Hollow is a purpose-built care home with 48 beds, offering residential and nursing care, while next door Avandale Lodge, which also has 48 beds, offers residential and residential memory care for those living with dementia.
