TWO penalties from Matty Birchall sealed a comeback win for Northwich Victoria against manager Steve Wilkes' former club Padiham.
Marcus Perry shot from outside the box to put the Storks ahead after 29 minutes but on the stroke of half-time Birchall put away his first spot kick.
The winning penalty strike was smashed into the roof of the net after 56 minutes but the Trickies survived a scare when the crossbar got in the way of Perry equalising for the visitors in the 63rd minute.
Vics are not slated to play again until they host Skelmersdale at home on Wednesday, September 8, kicko-off 7.45pm.
