CASE rates in England are continuing to rise in most age groups, Public Health England has said.
The exceptions are children aged four and under, and adults aged between 20 and 39.
The highest rate is among 10 to 19-year-olds, with 616.5 cases per 100,000 people in the seven days to August 22, up sharply week-on-week from 472.5.
The second highest rate is among 20 to 29-year-olds, down from 622.2 to 541.2.
The lowest rate is among people aged 80 and over, at 95.2, up slightly from 90.1.
Almost 400 new Covid-19 cases have been reported across Mid Cheshire during the latest 24-hour period.
A total of 393 people have tested positive, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.
This is made up of 168 new cases in Cheshire West and Chester and 225 cases in Cheshire East.
The total number of cases in both boroughs now stands at 33,310 in Cheshire West and 33,285 in Cheshire East.
The latest update means there have now been 1,029 cases in the last seven days in Cheshire West, giving the borough a seven-day case rate of 299.3 per 100,000 people.
There have been 1,068 cases in Cheshire East over the last week, meaning the borough's seven-day case rate is now 276.2 per 100,000.
Nationally there were 231,094 new Covid-19 cases across the UK in this same period.
The Government has said a further 140 people have died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Thursday, bringing the UK total to 132,003.
