FAMILIES looking for something to do over Bank Holiday weekend are being invited to give a game and country fair a try.
The Cheshire Game and Country Fair is returning to the county showground in Tabley on Sunday, August 29 for a two-day extravaganza.
Not only will there be delicious food on offer, but a host of activities are taking place during the fair.
Visitors will be able to try their hand at a wide range of country sports, including air rifle shooting, archery and angling.
Family entertainment will be available, while several arena shows will also take place during the days.
An exciting chainsaw competition will see carvers creating wooden masterpieces, which will then go up for auction.
There will also be an area dedicated to our furry friends, with a number of fun dog shows and arena events taking place.
Food Glorious Food offers a range of selected national and local food producers and specialist street foods and drinks. There will also be cookery demonstrations in the country kitchen.
A large craft village with craft marquees and craft demonstrations such as glass blowing, blacksmiths and 'make and take' is the perfect place to buy that unique gift.
The county showground is located off Flittogate Lane at Tabley and the fair takes place between 10am and 6pm each day.
Tickets are £15 for adults, £14 for over-65s and £4 for children aged five to 15.
Advance tickets are available online from livingheritagecountryshows.com/cheshire-game-country/
