IT would ‘mean the world’ for a teenager involved in a crash to be put in contact with a woman who helped console her.

Florance Vaughan was a passenger when the vehicle she was travelling in was involved in a collision on the A49 in Weaverham at around 11pm on Tuesday (August 3).

The 18-year-old had been on her phone when she looked and saw headlights in front of her.

A passing woman stopped to help at the scene and now Florance has launched an appeal to try and find her.

“It would mean the world and more to meet her again or to be put in contact with her,” she said.

“I’d like to thank her once more properly for what she did.

“The lady that helped me was just passing by when the crash happened, I’m pretty sure she told me she was just coming back from a family meal.

“I was extremely grateful that she was there at that moment in time and was even more grateful that she stayed with me.

Florance, who has grown up in Northwich with her mum and dad, believes the woman who helped her is called Hannah.

“The lady that had helped me was, I think, called Hannah,” Florance added.

“From memory, I’m sure she had blonde curly hair that was tied up, she wore glasses, was around my height (5ft 3in-5ft 5in) and she was wearing jeans and a crop top.

“She has two jobs, one of which is working at the call desk for 111.”

Florance suffered a sprained ankle in the incident and has been left with chest and back pains, bruises, scratches and whiplash.

Police are still investigating the collision. Anyone with any information is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101 or visit cheshire.police.uk/tua, quoting IML 1053311.
