HERE are the latest case numbers and Covid-19 rates across Cheshire as the Covid rates appear to decrease.
In the seven days running up to July 29 – the most recent week-long period of data available at the time of writing – a total of 1,931 cases were recorded across Cheshire.
This includes 1,009 in Cheshire East – a rate of 262.7 per 100,000 residents.
Meanwhile in Cheshire West and Chester, 922 cases were recorded, or 268.7 per 100,000.
This is compared with 2,471 cases recorded in Cheshire in the week up to July 24.
On Tuesday alone (August 3), 178 new coronavirus cases were recorded across Cheshire East, and Cheshire West and Chester – down from 322 recorded on July 29.
This is made up of 84 new cases in Cheshire East and 94 in Cheshire West.
