A POPULAR family restaurant in Northwich has been forced to issue a statement after a social media post about breast feeding went viral.
Sticky Paws in the Flavour Forest, based in Barons Quay, wasn't actually named in the post, but has responded to say it is investigating the situation.
The fuss-free family dining experience only opened in the town a couple of weeks before the first national lockdown in March of last year.
It has proved to be so popular it recently confirmed it is opening a new restaurant at its parent brand site, The Ice Cream Farm, in Tattenhall, near Chester.
The statement, which came from Director Jonathan Fell on behalf of the Sticky Paws team said: "It has come to our attention that a misunderstanding surrounding breastfeeding has been circulating on social media.
"We would like to assure our customers that we are in full support of breastfeeding at Sticky Paws.
"As a fully inclusive family attraction, we aim to make eating out with the kids as easy as possible and provide a safe, friendly and comfortable environment for children and parents alike.
"We are investigating the situation.
"Thank you for your understanding."
