THE vital role bees play in the ecosystem has been celebrated by a Cheshire florist.
Wedding and event floral designer Jacqui Owen created a moon gate at the RHS Flower Show in Tatton to represent the journey of bees through the insects' own eyes.
The design Bee Friendly, Bee Kind highlighted the importance of caring for bees to ensure that the community, wildlife and the economy survives.
Florists were challenged to demonstrate their skills at a flower school with thought-provoking ideas.
Jacqui showcased the talents of local craft specialists in her design, including Northwich baker Anne O'Neil.

Creative Ann, who has been baking for 10 years, said: "I love working with couples who are getting married to bring their ideas together for a cake.
"It's more than just a baking to me. I love the creative side, all the icing and decorating.
"Couples come up with ideas and I step in and help to interpret them with my designs."
