PHEW, what a scorcher!
Sipping champagne, visitors basked in glorious sunshine as the RHS Flower Show came back to Tatton Park.
The much-loved event was cancelled last year due to the pandemic.
Enthusiastic gardeners from all over country were delighted to see stunning flowers, chat to growers and pick up tips from experts giving talks and demonstrations.
As temperatures soared to 30 degrees, there were plenty of free DIY water stations and shady areas to keep cool.
Ice cream vans did a roaring trade and friends and families sat on the grass enjoying picnics.
Show gardens were bursting with inspiration as young designers demonstrated lots of innovation.
Colourful trolley boxes full of plants and flowers were wheeled through the showground as gardeners picked treasures to take home.
All the exhibits were very well spaced out and hand sanitisers were dotted round the grounds.
The show runs until Sunday.
