IT is not every day you see a Peaky Blinders themed wedding.
Well, if you happen to be passing the Arley straight tomorrow (Saturday), then you could catch a glimpse of the wedding paying tribute to the British drama.
Several tractors will be driving Peaky Blinders themed guests and the horses used in the series will take the bride to Arley Hall.
And the reason for the theme? The end of series five was filmed on Peter Dutton and Alison Jackson’s farm in Arley.
Peter, who has lived there for more than 20 years and built the farmhouse from reclaimed bricks, will be marrying Alison at the Hall and they will also have their reception there.
“I’m definitely excited. We should have done it last year on July 11 but with Covid we put it off to this year but then it’s been, ‘is it going to go ahead? Is it not’,” Alison, who grew up in Wincham and Great Budworth, said.
“It’s just like come on, bring it on now, I just want the day to happen.”
After not being able to visit Arley until mid-May, not being able to do dress fitting or go shopping, the latest ease in coronavirus restrictions have been welcome.
Some of the men will be attending in flat caps, tweed and wearing pocket watches, with some of the women dressing up too in Peaky Blinders style.
And it doesn’t end there – the Cheaky Blinders will be playing at their wearing.
All we need now is the celebrant to announce them as man and wife, by order of the Peaky Blinders…
