In the latest, Witton Albion were defeated 6-0 by a strong Crewe Alexandra side at Wincham Park on Wednesday.

Owen Dale, who spent time on loan with Witton in the 2017/18 season, banged home two belting goals and was brought down in the box for a penalty that was converted.

Another for Witton loan player, Luke Offord, a former Weaverham High School student, was in the Crewe starting team.

Northwich Victoria, who have announced the re-signings of Rudy Misambo, Jack Flemming, Matty Clark, Ashley Dunn, Joe Camozzi, Ryan Winder and Brandon Barski, won 3-0 at Prestatyn Town on Saturday, with goals coming from Brad Lynch, Barski and Winder.

Winsford United were 5-1 winners against Maine Road on Saturday, with Joe Duckworth netting a hat-trick.

Also on target were Oliver McDonough and Sam Madeley. On the same day, another Winsford United side was fielded at Cheadle Heath Nomads and defeated 4-0.

Blues, who fell 3-1 at home to Prescot Cables in midweek, head to Bacup Borough tomorrow.

Winnington Avenue 94 Reserves drew with Black Horse at Jubilee Fields at the weekend.

Manager Gary Lee Jamieson described it as a game in which the players took a huge stride forward together as a team, dominating the current Chester and Wirral Championship winners.

"Our ability on the ball was on show, the lads really enjoyed themselves and they used the ball really well. However we just couldn't find that breakthrough in the first half," he said.

"Shane Davies fired us into the lead after great work between Farrell Duncan and George Kirby to open up Black Horse down the left, Farrell then slid a pass into Shane's path who took a touch and fired past the goalkeeper.

"Unfortunately Black Horse pinched a draw with the last kick of the game but massive improvements are being made each week by the newly formed side."
