MEASURES have been put in place to allow Church Walk Paddling Pool to reopen during the summer holidays.
As a free facility, the pool has proved to be extremely popular since its refurbishment five years ago – especially in good weather.
A spokesperson for Northwich Town Council said: "In the light of the Covid pandemic, whilst cases continue to be high and many parents and young people will not have had the chance to have both vaccines yet, we are looking at how we can reduce capacity within the pool to ensure the safety of visitors and to make it a more enjoyable experience for those attending.
"We are working to get everything in place so that the pool can re-open on Monday August 2, with numbers controlled through booking a slot online.
"There will be a morning session from 10am until 12.30pm and an afternoon session from 2pm till 5pm.
"The pool will close from 12.30pm until 2pm to enable our staff to carry out a full clean down of the pool, toilets, shop and seating areas.
"During this time the morning session will leave to make way for the afternoon session.
"We would ask that all visitors adhere to these timings as any delay could affect the afternoon session for other visitors.
"The toilets will only be available to visitors using the pool and not park users – this will enable us to manage the numbers that will be allowed pool side.
"Wrist bands will be issued during all sessions if visitors wish to leave the pool and re-enter during their timed session, and these are to be handed back in when leaving."
Visit northwichtowncouncil.gov.uk for up to date information and how to book your sessions.
It is advised that all visitors to the pool take a lateral flow test before attending the pool.
Do not attend if you are experiencing any Covid symptoms.
