WINSFORD and Middlewich's best rated GP surgeries have been revealed, according to the patients that use them.

The results of the GP Patient Survey 2021 were published last week, after 2,408,303 questionnaires were sent out nationally, and 850,206 were returned between January 4 and April 6, 2021.

The survey measures patients’ experiences across a range of topics including making an appointment, if needs were met during appointments and overall approval ratings.

Weaver Vale Surgery was named the best surgery in Winsford according to patients, with an overall approval rating of 100 per cent.

Oaklands Medical Centre in Middlewich follows with 96 per cent.

Five surgeries across both areas– Swanlow Medical Centre, High Street Practice, Willow Wood Surgery, Launceston Close Surgery and Waters Edge Medical Centre – also had approval ratings above 90 per cent.

In terms of overall experience booking an appointment, Launceston Close Surgery and Oaklands Medical Centre came joint top, with 92 per cent of people saying the experience was 'good'.

This is compared with 71 per cent at Swanlow Medical Centre – just hitting the national average.

Patients at Weaver Vale Surgery rated their practice top for meeting their needs during appointments with 100 per cent.

Launceston Close Surgery came bottom in this category with 88 per cent – under the national average of 94 per cent.
