A NEW independent home interior shop Ivy Cottage has opened its doors in the heart of Northwich town centre.
Ivy Cottage is the creation of Pickmere mother Rachel Davies, who was encouraged by the support for the thriving independent business community that has sprung up in the town in recent years.
The shop is located on Crown Street and opened its doors on July 10.
Ivy Cottage sells soft furnishings, gifts, ornamentals, candles and accent furniture and was inspired by Rachel's desire to bring something unique to home interiors, with a selection of homewares not typically available in your average high street interior store.
Ivy Cottage joins a succession of local independents in Northwich, which has remained committed to preserving a competitive landscape for locally owned businesses to thrive in.
The independent business is owned by Rachel Davies from Pickmere
Northwich Business Improvement District has welcomed the news of this fantastic additional independent business in the town and looks forward to seeing people continue to shop local and support our town centre.
Rachel says of the shop's launch, "Northwich town is an up-and-coming place and we are part of a growing selection of independent shops.
"There's a real buzz around the town."
She went on to say that Ivy Cottage has been warmly received by the local community too: "It's been incredible.
"Lots of positive vibes and interest in the shop from local residents and businesses.
"The amount of people that have come up to me to tell me 'this is what Northwich needs' has been overwhelming.
"It’s a great place to be, everyone has been rooting for us."
