A POLICE community support officer has been found guilty of misconduct after engaging in a sexual relationship with a woman he met while on duty.
The Cheshire Police PCSO was involved in the ‘inappropriate’ relationship between 2016 and 2018.
He was found to have committed misconduct during a force disciplinary hearing held last month.
But, having retired from his post during the course of the investigation, the officer will not face any sanction.
It is also understood that he will not face any criminal charges in relation to his conduct.
But the hearing found that the PCSO would have been dismissed from his role had he not retired, therefore barring him from re-entering the police.
He has not been named by Cheshire Police as PCSOs are treated as members of force staff, rather than officers.
A constabulary spokesman said: “Between 2016 and 2018, a PCSO engaged in a sexual and inappropriate relationship with a female he met during the course of his duties.
“The staff member retired during the course of the investigation.”
