POLICE have arrested three men in relation to drugs offences in Verdin Park thanks to information from the community.
Over recent weeks officers in Northwich had been made aware of drugs-related activity in the area.
As a result of intelligence received, unmarked officers have been patrolling the area, resulting in the arrests of three men this morning, Wednesday (July 7).
Two of the men, aged 34 and 49, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply of class A drugs.
The third man, aged 38, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
Sergeant Dave Christmas, of Northwich Local Policing Unit said: “This is a fantastic result which truly shows the value of information from the local community.
“As well as around £200 worth of class A drugs we’ve also recovered more than £1,500 cash, which we believe is the proceeds of illegal activity.
“If you have any information about illegal drug activity or any other criminal activity taking place in Northwich then please report it to us on 101, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 and we will take action.”
The 49-year-old man and 38-year-old man have since been released under investigation.
The 34-year-old man remains in custody at this time.
