OWNERS of a therapy pony have been left absolutely devastated after it was stolen from a farm in Cheshire.
The Shetland pony, called Isla, was taken between 10pm Friday, July 2 and 6am on Saturday, July 3 from a farm off Darnhall School Lane, Winsford.
Isla, who is well-known by the community, is described as a chestnut coloured 32-inch tall miniature Shetland mare.
Officers are now appealing for information and urge anyone that can help them to get in touch.
Inspector Jason Murray, of Northwich Local Policing Unit, said: “Isla’s owners have been left absolutely devastated by this incident and we are keen to do all we can to trace the people responsible and reunite her with their rightful owners.
“Isla is used as a therapy pony and regularly goes out on walks in the local area, meaning that she is well known by the local community.
The stables where Isla was taken from are in a semi-rural area, so to have accessed the farm it is likely that the offenders will have travelled along Darnhall School Lane or Moores Lane.
