MOTORISTS are being warned about further overnight closures on the M6 and A556 this week as work continues on the junction 19 improvement scheme.
Starting tonight the northbound and southbound carriageways will be fully closed at junction 19 between 9pm and and 6am each night until Friday.
On the southbound carriageway, lanes three and two will be shut leading to a full closure at junction 19.
Lanes four, three and two will be shut on the northbound side leading to the full closure.
From 9pm to 6am each night, the A556 will be closed northbound from the A5033 Northwich Road and southbound from the junction 19 roundabout.
Diversions have been put in place, with drivers on the M6 asked to exit at junction 19, head over the roundabout and rejoin motorway.
For motorists travelling on the A556 towards Altrincham, the diversion will have them turn onto the A5033 Northwich Road heading towards Knutsford and turn onto the A50.
Continue on the A50 until it intersects with the A556 and rejoin the dual carriageway.
There are no closures at junction 19 on either the M6 or A556 planned for the weekend.
