THE arrest of two suspected drug dealers has been hailed ‘a fantastic result’ by police.

Officers say it will not only take illegal drugs off the streets of Cheshire but also remove supply in the local area.

Two 17-year-old men were arrested after a quantity of class A drugs, believed to be heroin and crack cocaine, were seized along with a significant amount of cash in Middlewich.

Officers found the stash at an address on Lewin Street at 3.20pm on Tuesday, May 4.

Two 17-year-old men, both from Liverpool, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs and possession of criminal property.

Both have since been released under investigation.

Detective Sergeant Richard Johnson said: “This is a fantastic result which has led to the removal of a significant quantity of drugs from the streets of Cheshire, as well as the arrests of two individuals who we believe may be involved in the supply of illegal drugs in the local area.

“I hope that this result provides reassurance to the local community and also acts as a warning to others.
