FOODBANKS continue to feed more people than ever due to the ongoing effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Mid Cheshire foodbank are this week short of several every day items at the moment and have asked for people to consider donating the following: dried snack meals, puddings, rice pudding and toilet roll.
A new list is posted every week of items that might be running a little low and of course, all produce, no matter how large or small are always gratefully received.
It is also requested that items should be dropped off at your local supermarket while doing your own shopping.
Supermarkets taking part in the scheme include Sainsburys in Hartford, Asda, Tesco and Waitrose in Northwich and Asda and Morrisons in Winsford.
There is food available for anybody who needs it, nobody needs to go hungry. Here's who to contact if you need help or know somebody who does:
Cheshire West & Chester Council Help Team - 0300 123 7065.
Citizens Advice in the Community - Text or call 07894 238 963.
When you receive a foodbank referral you will be given a collection point to attend with a booking time. The food will be ready for you and social distancing guidelines will be observed.
Fresh food will be included where possible and food not collected on time will be reallocated.
If you'd like to donate money to enable Mid Cheshire Foodbank to buy more supplies the simplest way to donate is at https://www.justgiving.com/midcheshirefoodbank/.
