A NORTHWICH bakery is looking to recruit 70 new seasonal members of staff after a surge in Christmas orders.
Frank Roberts & Sons is looking to hire new full-time operative employees on a temporary basis at The Little Treats Bakery.
Little Treats, based in Rudheath, has been supplying customers with sweet snacks for more than 30 years to become the UK's lead supplier of decorated biscuits.
The seasonal recruitment drive comes after trade and retail customers placed additional orders for its festive gingerbread biscuits and biscuit-making kits.
Sales controller Trevor Smallwood said: "We currently supply around 140 different own label products to the UK’s leading multiple retailers, bakery distributors and coffee shops and Christmas is a prime time for us.
"We’re looking for around 70 enthusiastic individuals to join us working in our production department.
"Previous bakery experience is desirable, but we’ll certainly consider candidates who have had experience in a similar fast-moving production environment. Of course, full training will be provided."
The temporary full-time posts – which will run for around seven months from May to November – will be based in the production department of the Rudheath bakery.
