A MAN has denied more than a dozen theft, burglary and attempted burglary offences, said to have happened in Hartford, North Wales and elsewhere in Cheshire.
Ashley Thomas Hughes, 30, of Hornby Road, Liverpool, appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on Friday, April 16.
Hughes entered not guilty pleas to the following charges:
- Attempted burglary at a garage in Hartford between April 26-27, 2020.
- Burglary at a Hartford garage, stealing a Hinde road bike to the value of £3,000 and a Specialized mountain bike to the value of £3,000, between April 26-27, 2020.
- Burglary at a Hartford garage, stealing a Canyon road bike to the value of £2,000 and a Genesis road bike to the value of £1,000, between April 26-27, 2020.
- Burglary at a Hartford garage, stealing hand and power tools to the value of £1,000, between April 26-27, 2020.
- Attempted burglary at a garage in Hartford between April 26-27, 2020.
- Burglary at a Hartford shed, stealing a Boardman mountain bike to the value of £1,000, between April 26-27, 2020.
- Burglary at a Hartford shed, stealing a Scott mountain bike to the value of £1,000 and a Trek mountain bike to the value of £800, between April 26-27, 2020.
- Attempted burglary at a garage in Hartford between April 26-27, 2020.
- Burglary at a Frodsham garage, stealing a Scott RC-COMP mountain bike to the value of £3,300 and an On One mountain bike to the value of £1,000, between January 20 and January 21, 2020.
- Attempting to steal scrap metal in Rhyl, to a value unknown, on March 7, 2020.
- Attempted burglary at a shed in Rhyl on March 7, 2020.
- Attempted burglary at a garage in Rhyl on March 7, 2020.
- Stealing vehicle registration plates in Widnes to a value unknown between April 26-27, 2020.
- Attempted burglary at a Frodsham shed on Saturday, May 2.
- Burglary at a Frodsham garage, stealing a Pinarello road bike to the value of £2,100, a Cube mountain bike to the value of £800, Orange mountain bike to the value of £1,000 and a Cube mountain bike to the value of £880, between May 1-2, 2020.
- Burglary at a Frodsham garage, stealing a Cube mountain to value unknown, between May 1-2, 2020.
Hughes was handed unconditional bail and will next appear at Chester Crown Court on May 14.
