THE final of BBC One's MasterChef will air tonight, Wednesday, after being postponed following the death of the Duke of Edinburgh on Friday.
The final of the cooking series was due to be shown on Friday, but the BBC suspended its scheduled programming to cover Prince Philip's death at 99.
ITV and BBC completely rearranged their television schedule to accommodate special extended news programmes and other tributes to the duke.
The change meant that the MasterChef UK final was replaced by news programmes.
After weeks of intense competition, fans will finally get to see amateur chefs Mike Tomkins, Alexina Anatole and Tom Rhodes battle it out to get their hands on the coveted trophy.
Hosts Gregg Wallace and John Torode will crown the winner of the 17th series.
The final of the popular cooking show, which began in 1990, will be screened at 8pm on BBC 1 tonight, replacing The Repair Shop.
If you miss the dramatic conclusion you can watch it on the iPlayer after it has aired.
