POLICE have seized alcohol from a group of youths after some had broken into locked pitches at a Northwich sports centre.
Officers were called to the Moss Farm Leisure Complex in Winnington on Friday night following reports of anti-social behaviour.
Staff at the Moss Lane facility reported a lot of litter and smashed alcohol bottles were left at the scene.
Police continued to patrol the area before coming across a 15-strong group of youths in Hartford - some of whom had been at Moss Farm.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: "Officers have attended reports of Antisocial Behaviour at Moss Farm.
"Large groups of youths were on the site, some had forced their way into locked pitches.
"Staff reported alot of litter and smashed alcohol bottles. We continued to patrol the area to prevent this behaviour.
"A group of over 15 youths were then stopped in Hartford and alcohol confiscated. They were some of the youths moved on from Moss Farm earlier in the evening."
