A CHINESE takeaway has temporarily closed after a staff member tested positive for coronavirus.
After Five, in Northwich, made the decision to shut as a precaution in order to protect its customers and other staff.
Since re-opening last year, the Station Road takeaway has been providing hot meals to its customers throughout lockdown.
Now the shop, which has worked closely with track and trace, will close for a week before re-opening again on Thursday, April 1.
Announcing the closure on Facebook, a spokesman for the After Five management team said: "As you know, we have been working very hard since we re-opened last year to provide hot meals for our customers.
"Unfortunately, one of our members of staff has tested positive for Covid.
"We have worked closely with track and trace and while we have other staff members that could still work and we do not have a legal obligation to close, we do not want the standards to slip and we feel that in order to fully protect our After Five family we will need to close the shop.

"The shop will re-open on Thursday, April 1 at 4.30pm and we will be ready to take your order.
"We hope you understand that the welfare of our staff and customers always comes first. Stay safe love from the After Five management team."
