A TEENAGER from Leftwich has raised more than £700 for charity after his dad suffered a stroke last year.
Keegan Porter was determined to help others in the same position as his dad by raising money for The Stroke Association.
So far, he has raised £710 after running a total of100k in just four weeks.
The 16-year-old said: "I'm raising money because my Dad had a stroke and it was very scary for everyone, so I know how hard it is for friends and family.
"I also know how hard the carers work.
"I ran for 20 minutes every day for a month, which equalled to around 100k throughout the month.
"I wanted to raise £500, but everyone helped me smash that which I’m so grateful for!"
The Stroke Association provides specialist support, funds critical research and campaigns to make sure people affected by stroke get the best care and support to rebuild their lives.
