NO-ONE should feel ashamed or worried if they need help, says Mid Cheshire Foodbank.
As more people than ever before are being supported due to the pandemic, reassurance is being offered to anyone struggling to survive.
"It is work poverty that is the issue,"said Winsford Town Cllr Nathan Pardoe, member of Cheshire West and Chester Council and a foodbank trustee and volunteer.
"The majority of our customers are in work but simply don't have enough money because the cost of living is not going down.
"There isn't one foodbank user, it could be your neighbour or friend. We have professional people and a cross section of society."
Seeking help is quick and easy.
"The referral process isn't difficult or evasive," said Cllr Pardoe. "You will be asked on the phone what you need and there is a booking system so when you turn up it is no different than picking up a parcel.
"Volunteers are very friendly. Our big focus is restoring dignity.
"There is food available for anyone who needs it, nobody needs to go hungry."
Thankfully, generosity from the local community has more than met the soaring demand.
"Without support from the community it wouldn't work," said Cllr Pardoe.
To seek help call Cheshire West & Chester Council help team on 0300 123 7065, Citizens Advice in the Community on 07894 238963, Cllr Nathan Pardoe and volunteer 07917 754771.

This week Mid Cheshire Foodbank is short of fruit juice, savoury spreads, soap and tinned fruit.
