A MAN has been charged following a terrifying robbery at a bank in Knutsford last week.
51-year-old Jason Jenyons of Overfields Road, Knutsford was charged by detectives yesterday (March 10) following the robbery shortly before 1pm on Friday.
Jenyons will appear at North Cheshire Magistrates Court today where he will face the charge.
The drama unfolded when two men burst into the bank, threatened staff, before stealing cash and making their escape on a black motorbike.
Armed police swarmed into the town as roads and roads were closed.
As part of ongoing enquiries, two further men aged 59 and 32 have been arrested along with a woman aged 41.
The 32-year-old man and 41-year-old woman have been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
