THE number of new cases of coronavirus in Cheshire East and West are falling, the latest daily figures have confirmed.
New data from Public Health England covers the 24-hour period up to 9am today, March 4, when there were 49 Covid-19 cases in Cheshire East and 27 in Cheshire West.
This takes the total number of cases in Cheshire East since the pandemic began to 19,901.
Cheshire West's total now stands at 20,778.
Infection rates continue to fall across both boroughs.
It now stands at 83.8 per 100,000 people, following 322 cases diagnosed in the seven days up to February 27.
Meanwhile, Cheshire West's infection rate is now 94.1 per 100,000 people during the same period.
