A CREATIVE youngster has been drawing, painting and colouring posters to thank frontline key workers for their hard work during the pandemic.
Phoebe Buckley, who is in year five at Little Leigh Primary School, wanted to do something special for people who have been working tirelessly over the past 12 months.
Her colourful creations can now be seen in shops, opticians and doctors’ surgeries all over Northwich.
The 10-year-old said: “I wanted to create posters to show how much I care and how much I appreciate everyone’s hard work during the Covid-19 pandemic.
“We are all feeling unsettled and worried by what is happening and need a little bit of light relief.
“I wanted to make people smile and thank them for being kind and thoughtful.”
Phoebe’s first poster was given to a doctor at Victoria Infirmary in Northwich after he prescribed treatment for tonsillitis and she decided to design more for other people around the town.
She added: “We’re all in this together and we will get through it if we treat people how we would like to be treated.
“I hope my posters will encourage people to be kind, be thoughtful and smile.”
