A CALF was rescued by firefighters after falling 10 foot down a manhole.
Crews were called to a yard off Yatehouse Lane in Byley at around 8.30am this morning.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a detector to check for gas before the animal was hoisted up.
Firefighters from Lymm rope rescue unit pulled the animal to safety with help from Middlewich firefighters.
