A LITTLE girl is following in her mum's footsteps by doing her bit to keeping her village clean and tidy.
Five-year-old Scarlett Cree, who lives in Marston with her mum Allison and dad Robbie, developed an interest in picking litter when she saw two women doing the same on land near her home.
Allison, who runs her own cleaning business, said her daughter is clearly following her lead by taking up a love for cleaning at such an early age.
She said: "She became interested in litter picking when we saw two ladies litter picking on the flashes Close to our home.
"I explained to her what litter picking was an she was was excited to give it a try , and loves walking the streets and flashes with her dog Rolo.
"At her school in Great Budworth through remote learning they're learning about materials such as glass, wood and metal and she quickly clicked on that this was a lot of what she was picking up.
"She has litter picked all around where she lives as well as where her nanna and grandad live using her nanna Carol's litter picker."
Scarlett, who turns six on March 11, is definitely keeping her mum busy, by collecting bags ready for her to take to the local tip.
Allison added: "She has done it each day and collected all kinds of rubbish from the side of the roads and the flashes.
"In the short time she has been doing it, she has already collected bags and bags of rubbish, all ready for me to take to the tip.
"I run my own cleaning business, Sweeping Beauty, so I'm very happy Scarlett is following my love for cleaning."
