LEGENDARY Cast frontman John Power is coming to Northwich to play an intimate gig in the autumn.
Power, who was also a member of iconic Liverpool band The La's before their split in the early nineties, will be playing an acoustic set at The Salty Dog on Saturday, October 2.
With an impressive back catalogue including the likes of Sandstorm, Finetime, Walkway and Guiding Star, Power is used to playing in front of thousands of fans, but there are just 100 tickets available for this small solo gig.
The night is being held in aid of local charity Tiny Steps and Scott Burscow, who has been organising fundraising events for them for a number of years, said he was thrilled Power has agree to play.
He said: "I've been trying to get John Power for a while.
"He originally agreed to do a night for us last April, but obviously we had to postpone that because of Covid.
"We then moved it to December just gone, in the hope everything would be sorted by Christmas, but little did I know what was coming.
"So we cancelled that night and I didn't want to re-arrange it at that point because I didn't want to be constantly switching dates.
"But I was obviously keen to do something and John has kindly agreed to keep it going to help us and we agreed to the date in October.
"It will be a really intimate gig and I'm just really chuffed and overwhelmed that he's agreed to help us.
"Tickets are really limited and Cast are still touring now and selling out gigs so it's a massive coup for the town and Tiny Steps.
"It's one of the ones I'm really proud of."
Tickets, priced at £18 go on sale at 6pm on Friday, February 26, and are available at www.wegottickets.com/tinysteps
