MORE than 100 new Covid-19 cases have been confirmed across Cheshire East and West in the latest daily figures.
New Public Health England data covers the 24-hour period up to 9am today, February 15.
In that time, there were 57 new Covid cases in Cheshire East and 44 in Cheshire West, a total of 101 across the two boroughs.
Meanwhile, the area’s seven-day infection rates are now at their lowest levels in more than two months.
Cheshire East’s infection rate now stands at 141.9 per 100,000 people, following 545 cases in the seven days up to February 10.
That is the lowest it has been since December 14 – and compares to 151.5 in yesterday’s figures, 184.3 one week ago and 199.7 a fortnight ago.
Cheshire West’s rate is now the lowest it has been since December 13 at 156.5 per 100,000 people, following 537 cases in the seven days up to February 10.
That is lower than yesterday’s figure of 163.2, 223.6 one week ago or 295 a fortnight ago.
