A CREATIVE project that inspired men to learn new skills is being revived.
Hartford Men in Sheds gave many men who felt isolated the chance to make friends, get out of the house and have a laugh for 11 years until it closed in March last year.
Exciting new plans are now under way to launch Mid Cheshire Community Shed to encourage both men and women to socialise.
Men enjoyed making new friends
Once premises are secured, it is hoped to offer many more activities to anyone aged over 25.
Stuart Poucher, chairman of trustees at Mid Cheshire Community Shed, said: "Members have decided they want to keep the shed alive. Everyone is desperate to get back with their friends.
"We hope to have larger premises so there will more space to do lots of extra things and instal new machinery."

Members learn how to use various tools and machinery
In the past, activities have included woodwork and the chance to learn how to operate various tools.
As more men and women join, new topics such as photography, arts, crafts, sewing and knitting could be introduced.
’We will be expanding our activities,"said Stuart. "We will accommodate anybody who wants to set up a group.
"It's all about giving people a chance to have some fun and be productive."
Lockdown has left more people feeling lonely and sometimes depressed.
"Health and wellbeing is more important now than ever before," said Stuart. "More people are unemployed whilst others are working alone at home.
Members enjoy having fun and a chat whilst making all sorts of things
"Some people may live on their own or have suddenly retired and have no reason to go out of the house on a daily basis.
"This group will give people the motivation to get out and meet new people."
Stuart is working with seven trustees to secure new premises. All the equipment has gone into storage.
"I was involved in the old group for four years," said Stuart. ""The fun and banter among the guys is amazing. They take the mickey out of each other and enjoy each other's company.
"What I miss most of all is learning great new skills and making stuff."
