RESIDENTS are being warned to expect disruption caused by snow and ice in the next couple of days.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice across large parts of the UK – including Northwich, Winsford, Middlewich, Knutsford and Wilmslow.
It comes into effect at 10pm on Monday, February 1, and lasts until 11.59pm on Tuesday, February 2.
A Met Office spokesman said: “Snow, with a risk of widespread ice, is likely to push slowly northeast during Tuesday – bringing difficult travel conditions.”
Residents are being told to expect possible travel delays and road closures, while some rural communities could become cut off.
Power cuts may occur and mobile phone coverage may be affected, while untreated pavements and cycle paths may be impassable, the Met Office adds.
