A MOTORIST has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of cannabis following a crash on the M6.
Police were called out to the northbound carriageway between junction 19 for Knutsford and Northwich, and junction 20 for Lymm, at around 11.15am today, January 30.
Officers initially stopped traffic to clear debris from the carriageway before allowing traffic to pass at 11.25am.

One lane was kept closed before the carriageway was cleared shortly before 1pm, after police had remained at the scene to deal with the incident.
A spokesman for North West Motorway Police said: “The road traffic collision at junction 19 to junction 20 northbound has been cleared.
“One driver has been arrested having provided a positive drugs wipe – cannabis.”
