ALL lanes of traffic on the M6 southbound in Cheshire have been reopened following a crash involving two lorries and emergency pothole repairs this afternoon.
Three lanes had been closed between junctions 19 for Northwich and Knutsford, and 18 for Middlewich and Holmes Chapel, following two incidents in the same location.
Drivers faced a seven-mile queue approaching the incident and delays of an hour earlier this afternoon, but traffic is now easing.
Traffic had been stopped completely before 12.50pm but was later allowed to pass in one lane, followed by a second.
The #M6 southbound #J19 (#Northwich #Macclesfield #Knutsford #A556) to #J18 (#HolmesChapel #Chester #Northwich #Middlewich) the lane closures have now been lifted
