A FLOODED children's nursery has reopened thanks to 'knights in shining armour' who cleared water and repaired electrics free of charge.
Mrs Nursery in Queen Street was submerged under water and feared it would have to close for several weeks.
Floodwater left Mrs Nursery submerged
But, thanks to big-hearted Northwich firm Techflow Drainage, little ones were able to return on Monday just days after the deluge.
The Wincham specialists pumped out all the water and cleared drains as a goodwill gesture.
Sally Gallagher, manager of Mrs Nursery, said: "I can't thank them enough. It was like having a knight in shining armour who came along on a big green tractor and pumped two tanks full of water out of the cellar.

"They have been working for the past 48 hours. I am blown away by it all.
"We were in complete darkness and knee deep in water.
"When you've grown up not having anything for free and these people are so willing to help, it is amazing."
Electrician Dale Merson repaired the electrics and Northwich Demolition and Recycling provided a skip and helped to remove all the damaged equipment.
"The car park which is our rear garden was all flooded with toys floating around in the water," said Sally. "We lost everything in our utility outhouse, our washing machine, dryer and freezer.

"It was like watching the nursery wash away and then all of a sudden people were willing to help. We are humbled by the fact that people would do this for us. There is a real community spirit."
The nursery did not want to shut down as staff look after 40 children.
"We are one of only two nurseries that has stayed open during Covid," said Sally. "Our journey from March has been relentless.
"We took a lot of children who are vulnerable and have complex needs from other nurseries.
|"We were desperate to open for the children.
"We are looking upon this as a new beginning. We have washed away all of 2020 and we now get a completely fresh start."
Victoria Hampson, operations manager at Techflow Drainage, said: "We saw all the damage and wanted to get out there and help. We put all our work on hold, gathered up our equipment and our engineers went down to the nursery.
"We cleaned the drains and got all the water out. Then it was a matter of cleaning everything down and sanitising the whole area.
"We are a family business and know only too well that you've got to help each other.
"We've got amazing customers. It's only right we give a little back."
Techflow is offering its services free of charge to one worthy cause every week.
