HOMES have been affected by flooding across Northwich following the heavy rain brought by Storm Christoph.
Across the county, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service attended 134 incidents between 7am yesterday and the same time today, mostly due to Storm Christoph.
Several properties were affected by severe flooding in Hartford Road, Davenham, on Wednesday evening.
Firefighters were sent out to the scene, where they spent 30 minutes, closing off the road at both sides and making sure occupiers were OK.
The crew gave them advice, including to isolate their electrics where necessary, and informed the local authority's highways department of the severe flooding on the road.
A fire engine was also sent out to Ainsworth Lane, in Crowton, where flooding was coming into a house from a nearby field.
On arrival the crew found around one inch of water throughout the ground floor of the property, and they used a shovel and a pump to divert water away.
Firefighters were also present in the evacuation of houseboats at Hayhurst Marina, while a crew from Winsford was sent to Shipbrook Road to deal with a car stuck in flooding.
The fire service was called following reports of smoke coming from a car, and on arrival the crew found three people were inside under one foot of water.
Firefighters rescued the three people and helped to move the car to a safer area, before taping off Davenham Road and Shipbrook Road due to the levels of water.
