A PLEA for donations is being made as foodbanks feed more people than ever before due to the pandemic.
Mid Cheshire Foodbank is helping twice as many families compared to this time last year as demand soars.
People from all backgrounds are struggling to survive.
Winsford Town Cllr Nathan Pardoe, and member of Cheshire West and Chester Council who is a foodbank volunteer and trustee, says that most people seeking help have jobs.
"Most people are working but simply don't have enough money because of the cost of living," said Cllr Pardoe.
"We have professional people and a cross section of society seeking help."
The foodbank has been overwhelmed with donations, he said, and couldn't exist without support from the community.
Cllr Pardoe stressed there is plenty of food stocked but appealed for shoppers to help top up supplies.
"There is food available for anybody who wants it so nobody needs to go hungry," he said.
The foodbank is currently running short of deodorant, desserts, jam and long life fruit juice.
Shoppers can drop off items at Asda and Morrisons in Winsford, Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury's and Waitrose in Northwich and Sainsbury's in Hartford.
The warehouse at unit 14, The Business Centre, Barlow Drive, Winsford is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9am to 12 noon.
Anyone who needs help can contact Cheshire West and Chester Council's help team on 0300 123 7065 or Citizens Advice in the community on 07894 238963.
