ARMED police were sent out to a property in Castle today, January 14, following concerns for a person’s safety.
Officers negotiated with a man inside the property, in Gladstone Street, after 1.30pm.
Cheshire Police is now moving to reassure the Castle community that the incident was an isolated one and residents do not need to be concerned.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “At 1.37pm on Thursday, January 14, police were called to an address in Gladstone Street in Northwich following reports of concern for safety.
“Police, including armed officers as a precaution, attended and negotiated with a man inside the property.

“The man left the house with officers and was taken to hospital to receive medical attention.
“This was an isolated incident and there is no ongoing reason for residents to be concerned.”
