CHILDREN living at new Northwich housing developments are being reassured that Father Christmas knows where he needs to go to deliver their presents.

While this Christmas will be like no other due to the pandemic, Father Christmas has been cleared to deliver presents to all the youngsters on his nice list.

Families have moving into new developments across town, such as Dane View and Imperial Park II, which are being constructed by Barratt Homes.

And they do not need to worry about whether Father Christmas will find his way tonight – as the developer has already written to him to make sure he knows exactly where he is going.

Michaela Lancaster, sales director, said: “It’s fantastic news that Santa Claus has now been cleared to deliver presents around the world.

“Having met many of the children who have moved to our new developments, we know for a fact that they will be on Santa’s nice list.

“We would like to reassure them and their parents that rigorous steps have been taken to notify Father Christmas about their new address.”

Father Christmas will travel an estimated 510 million km on Christmas Eve, flying at around 10 million km per hour in order to make the 233 million stops on his list.

Professionals have confirmed that the sleigh travels so fast there is no risk of transmitting the virus to anybody.

His first stop is the Republic of Kiribati in the Pacific Ocean and, according to the Santa tracking team at Norad, he will make his way west around the world before arriving in the UK.

Michaela added: “Santa has a packed schedule and we’re pulling out all the stops to make sure our brand new homes are on his map.

“The developments have taken shape since he last flew over, with lots of new families living there, so Santa and his reindeer will have lots to see.”
