ROADWORKS and diversions are set to cause delays for drivers in Winsford and Middlewich during the next two weeks.

Here's a round-up of streets where traffic could face disruption.

A533 Road One, Winsford

Long-running work to create a new roundabout at the junction of Bostock Road and Road One is expected to continue until January 29. Temporary traffic lights are in place.

However, sewer works are due to be completed today, Monday, and other roadworks on this road are due to be completed by December 18, weather permitting.

New Road, Winsford

Delays are likely from December 10-11 as United Utilities install new water connections.

Bradford Road, Winsford

Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from tomorrow, Tuesday, until December 16 as footway slurry seal work is carried out between Compass Minerals depot and the Post Office, from Bradford Road to New Road.

Swanlow Lane, Winsford

Two-way lights will be in place on Friday, December 18 as BT engineers carry out work.

Old Hall Farm, Northwich Road

Temporary lights will direct traffic whilst scaffolding is in place until Christmas Eve.

Middlewich

BT engineers are carrying out work on streets across Middlewich from December 8-14.

Roads facing temporary traffic lights include Midbrook Way and Dalton Way (December 8-10), Byley Road, Chester Road and Dane Street (December 9-10) and Rainow Close and Mottram Close (December 10-14).

Garfit Street, Middlewich

Cadent gas engineers will be carrying out work from December 10-15. Two-way signals will be in place.

Booth Lane, Middlewich

United Utilities will be replacing a manhole cover on December 13 between the junction of Cross Lane and Cledford Lane. Multiple traffic light signals will be in operation.
