A GLOBAL business which employs 250 people in Winnington will donate £125,000 to support voluntary groups in Cheshire West over the next five years.
Ecolab, which makes hand sanitiser for the NHS at its Weavergate plant, has teamed up with the Cheshire Community Foundation (CCF).
The partnership will see Ecolab donate £25,000 each year for the next five years towards the For Cheshire West Fund.
As part of the move, any donations made by employees will be matched by the company to add to its donation.
Paul Hey, country manager UK and Ireland at Ecolab, said: “As an organisation, we believe that Ecolab can and should play a vital role in helping our local communities.
“It is a privilege to be able support these charities, providing a lifeline to hard-pressed local people especially at this difficult time.

“We trust CCF’s unique knowledge of the local charitable landscape to maximise the impact of our giving and expertly distribute the funds to make an impact on those most in need.”
Recently, the For Cheshire West Fund has provided grants to fund support for new mums with mental health issues, people with neuromuscular conditions, vulnerable young people and a memory making charity for children living with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
