A NORTHWICH business known for selling preloved and upcycled furniture and a whole host of curiosities has undergone a renovation.
Peggys Cove, located on the corner of Tabley Street and Albion Road, has been refurbished by owner Sue Knights with the same tender loving care she devotes to the goods she sells at the store.
The timber-frame shop, which dates back to the 1930s, sells antiques, collectables and curiosities, as well as preloved and upcycled furniture, homeware and gifts.
Sue said: “The building really needed a bit of attention. I treat this building like my home and it’s my happy place, so I just got stuck in!”
Sue said she ‘loved every minute of the makeover’ and feels the Covid-19 compliant shop is now brighter and the renovation has made the best of the building’s features.
As well as upcycling second-hand furniture in the shop Sue sells the materials needed for customers to undertake their own projects.
She also has her own range of paints available in a variety of colours, each one with a meaning behind its name, and is happy to share tips and guidance for those wanting to give it a go.
Sue added: “Here at Peggys Cove we continue to source good quality preloved furniture to sell at affordable prices as well as turning old and unwanted pieces into something beautiful and unique.
“The ‘shabby chic’ look is very much in vogue at the moment and we always have a good selection of upcycled and creatively restored furniture available for any home.” For more information, follow Peggys Cove on Facebook.
